About the Event
We are heartbroken. A 37-year-old, unarmed woman was killed. A mother, a daughter, a poet. She chose not to stay silent. She chose to show up. She chose to stand up for her neighbors and was unjustly taken from her son, her wife, and her family. The constant and unrelenting attacks on human beings and our democracy by our own government is exhausting.
